Thorton Wilder’s Our Town has been my favorite play for decades. I love its message and even more – I loved playing 1/3 of the Stage Manager as a senior in High School in 1996.
In fact, I always refer to the play and think of it when I’m stressed out to calm me down.
I Always Think Of Emily In Act Three
The concept that Emily visits one simple day and sees how beautiful and horrible it is at the same time is what I try to focus on when my kids are going bizerk and I need a breather.
It’s also what I think about when we’re all cuddling on the couch in the perfect snuggle.
I really enjoyed this new rendition of the show. It was even more exciting to see @ourtownbroadway performed by an all star cast!
I’m not usually a “wait at the stage door” kind of gal but I couldn’t resist this one. I’m glad I did. I had the nicest chat with Bill Timoney (Constable Warren) who couldn’t have been more generous with his time.

Nintendo is one of my favorite clients. Not only is the brand nostalgic for me (no Chanukah gift will ever beat my 1988 NES + Power Pad holiday bundle) but my kids love it too. They enjoy playing on their Nintendo Switches individually, and together, but REALLY LOVE successfully convincing me to play a round of Mario Kart with them. Basically, my partnership with Nintendo makes me a cool mom in their eyes – which is my ultimate goal as a digital marketing agency owner!
We recently visited the 2024 Nintendo holiday showcase and as always it was a beautiful, fun, gorgeously curated event.
New Nintendo Holiday Games
Holding center stage was the newly released Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom. In this game the Queen – Zelda herself – is finally the main character. Much like their release earlier this year of Princess Peach Showtime Nintendo is really leaning into girl power right now, and I love it! We also got to dance our way though Just Dance 2025 which is always a fun time.
Nintendo Holiday Bundles
This year Nintendo’s Holiday bundle includes a great package. The Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Oled include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + 12 (!) months of their individual online membership! This online membership is key. It not only connects your Switch to another one (so you can play with a friend) but opens the extensive Nintendo game library to your fingertips.
Nintendo Food Partnerships
Nintendo holiday events always blow us away with their intricate attention to detail. We love how the food always seamlessly flows into the theme. This year my boys were on cloud 9. Nintendo has partnered with Kraft for Mario and Luigi themed boxed and instant macaroni and cheese! Then for dessert we got to sample Nintendo Oreos and Chips Ahoy from Nabisco and Teddy Grahams.
Nintendo Holiday Accoutrements
Of course, no Nintendo event is complete without their special little touches and attention to detail. Each area had nods to the game themes including Princess Peach slides, LEGO sets galore, and character board games.
On top of all of that awesomeness, I got to see my favorite PR team of all PR teams who made sure the night was perfect as always.

Boy did this year fly by! Well anyway, there’s only moving forward and buying gifts for your loved ones (and the people who you don’t really like) is always fun.
As usual, my first suggestion is SHOP EARLY. This gives you the most access to the hottest gifts of the season and removes a bit of stress. Additionally, it gives you time to think what people really want instead of just buying them a robe. HOWEVER, for what it’s worth, I really do love a good robe.
Speaking of… my favorite gifts are always the most useful ones. They may not be the most exciting but they will get the most use. Don’t you want your sister’s boyfriend’s mother to think of you every time she uses her brand new Swiffer?
Not into giving cleaning products for the holidays? My next favorite gift is giving an experience. This is perfect for a relative (grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc) to give a kid. I mean who doesn’t want tickets to go see X or have an all expense paid trip to Y! I love Y!

I’ve wanted to take my kids to Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey for years.
I was so excited for that dream to finally happen!
I’m pretty sure everyone knows what it is but in case you don’t… Medieval Times In Lyndhurst New Jersey is dinner theater set in the 11th century with horse shows, knight games, jousting, sword fights, and the best part – eating with your hands!
From the opening performance of the Queen’s prized Spanish riding horses to the falcon show it was just a fun time that kept on going.
I didn’t realize Medieval Times was based on a real story of a Spanish noble family, but now the red and yellow color scheme makes so much more sense.
In fact, the whole dining and entertainment concept began in the 1960s in southern Spain. The first US location opened in Florida in 1983, expanding to ten stateside locations today.
The food was delicious and the show was great. My kids loved it and it was just as fun as I remembered, giant chicken leg and all.
To quote my 8 year old when I asked for his review – “even the Queen had soup”!
Upon further research, I found it is now a Queen – not a King – eating soup because the feedback was people wanted to see a woman in a more powerful role (woot!). It just keeps getting better.
I’m so glad we finally got to go. If you’ve never been, go! It was such a good time.

Yay for back to school! Yay for getting back into a routine!
I love my kids but I love them even more when they’re in school all day long! I need a break and time to relax (and have fun) so I can be the best mom possible. I’m always looking for ways to enhance my cognitive skills like memory, focus, and critical thinking. The 2024 Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze At Long Island’s Old Bethpage Village Restoration!
Fall Means Pumpkin Blaze Long Island!
We love welcoming the fall by visiting one of our favorite family traditions Pumpkin Blaze aka The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze a production of Historic Hudson Valley at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration.
Besides being the perfect activity for a beautiful Long Island night, it’s a good deed too! Your ticket sales help support both non-profits!
Some fan favorite pumpkin walk highlights include:
-Long Island history and heroes made out of pumpkins
-Native Long Islanders also made out of pumpkins (new this year Natalie Portman and Jerry Seinfeld)
-An illuminated pumpkin portal and a twinkling color changing pumpkin tunnel
-Spooooky Halloween music
-A lit up pumpkin sunflower field
-A bubble blowing pumpkin octopus
-Iridescent pumpkin jellyfish
-7,000+ carved pumpkins
-Live nightly pumpkin carving (they take requests!)
-Rows of carved Jack O’Lanterns
-A giant glowing spider web
-Lots of fun photo ops
We also loved the new additions this year including the Day of the Dead installation and pumpkin Ferris wheel.

Another new big deal this year: kids under 3 are free and kids aged 3-17 are only $10 (all days and time slots!).

It’s always a good time at Adventureland Long Island’s Amusement Park!
I loved coming here as a kid and love making new memories with my kids.
From Being The Kid To Taking Your Kids
For six decades Adventureland has brought joy to Long Island families. But this season they’ve reached a pivotal point in their game.
Thanks to a big partnership with Catholic Heath there are great additions and enhancements on the way!
Plus the new ride – Moonchaser!
New Partnership Between Adventureland And Catholic Health Long Island
Over the next few years and thanks to Catholic Health Long Island even more land will be developed and new rides will be added. The back property will become a new area with 3-4 more rides never seen before in the US!
These expansions will bring more rides (designed for Adventureland in Europe), more jobs, and more family fun!
There are so many cool things coming and also so much fun to be had right now.
