The History of The Mint Chip Mama – THE Lifestyle & Mom Blog for Long Island Families

Stacey Gish Wallenstein created The Mint Chip Mama lifestyle & mom blog for Long Island families in 2013. Here she shares her love and passion for giving children meaningful life experiences. In addition, she also helps moms navigate the challenges and benefits of raising children in the New York metropolitan area.

Life Before Kids in Manhattan

Prior to becoming a full-time mom in 2010, Stacey spent a decade as a high-end customer relationship management (CRM) professional.  During this time, Stacey worked for some of the most well-known brands – Harrah’s Entertainment, Chanel and Christian Dior, Inc – across the hotel, luxury, fashion, and beauty industries. In these rolls, she managed customer loyalty programs for thousands of clients around the country. She also created social media strategies for a span of industries including healthcare services, restaurants, consumer packaged goods, specialty foods, local attractions and retail locations.

Moving to Long Island, The Mint Chip Mama is born!

In 2014, after 13 wonderful years in Manhattan (including three as a city mom), Stacey and her husband moved to Long Island. They currently reside on Long Island with their three children (12, 8, and 5). Stacey is an active PTA member (including being a current and former president) as well as a Girl Scout troop leader. She also helped create the premier Parenting Center in the area – providing classes and support for new moms. 

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Stacey has been active in the University of Michigan Alumni Club of New York City, including a board member for a decade. She also holds a Masters in Psychology from The New School in New York City.
