We had the best time at MJ The Musical!
MJ The Musical tells the powerful and electrifying behind-the-scenes story of Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour. It was written by Lynn Nottage and directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon.
While the play seamlessly weaves between the tour’s rehearsal and Michael’s past, you get many glimpses into the King of Pop’s history.
The show explores Jackson’s creative process, how he aimed for the best at all costs, and how his signature sound and style evolved over the years.
The singing, choreography, and scenery were amazing!
My kids (8 & 11) knew a lot of the songs and loved all the colors and lights.
The Cast Was Amazing!
We saw the show on a night of understudies, and they did not disappoint! I always get excited when an understudy gets to perform and think how exciting that call must be for them on the day of the show.
Kudos to: Brett Gray, Apollo Levine, Whitney Bashor (Go Blue!), Tavon Olds-Sample, Christopher Sean Cooper Jr., Austin Rankin, Carole Denise Jones, Matthew Frederick Harris, Gabriel Ruiz, Antoine L. Smith, Joey Sorge, Julius-Raymond Weems, and the rest of the cast for an amazing performance!
