Planet Hollywood New York 2.0!
As a 90s kid no restaurant topped the celebrity owned, super cool, movie loving Planet Hollywood.
I remember being completely obsessed with the restaurant but also the shot glasses and merch.
Now back in Times Square but waaaay cooler, Planet Hollywood New York is a reimagined concept. Imagine all the rad of yesterday paired with the technology of today.
The Fan Favorites Are Back Too!
Menu fan favorites – like the World Famous Chicken Crunch – reappear with the most amazing presentation (read: on a Ferris Wheel!). Plus so many great drinks (Blood Orange Margherita!) and food choices it’s a guaranteed crown* pleaser for anyone in New York, with the perfect midtown location.
We started with The Walk Of Fame High Roller appetizer that had the chicken, plus their insane Twice Cooked Buffalo Wings (OMG!) and Blackened Shrimp (Double OMG!) and more.
Next, we moved on to entrees and tried the Philly Cheesesteak Burger, NY Strip Steak, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, and the showsstopping Wagyu Deluxe Burger.
Let me tell you my Wagyu burger came with a show and tasted just as good as it looked!
Desserts Need Their Own Zip Code
In case we weren’t completely filled by their MASSIVE milkshakes – naturally trying one of each – Chocolate Comet, Strawberry Big Bang (with an ENTIRE slice of rainbow cake on top) and Soho Salted Caramel – we finished with a GIANT slice of chocolate cake and The Candy Bar Ice Cream Sundae.
Don’t Forget The Exclusive Private Party Room Upstairs!
This two-story restaurant also offers a screen-clad private room upstairs guaranteed to become the hottest ticket in town. *In fact, the cast of Six Broadway was about to party there.
If your goal is dancing on the ceiling, you’ll be pleased – there’s a huge screen on the ceiling too!
Portions are enormous and perfect for sharing. This would be a great pre or post theater spot to fill up on some delicious goodness.
Welcome back Planet Hollywood. We missed you. The best review I can share is from my discerning 8 year old who said “this place has the best vibe of any restaurant I’ve ever been to, can we please come back for my birthday”.
I even wore my hat from the 90s for a little piece of full circle nostalgia.
