2024 Year In Review
As the year closed I’m reminded once again of the many things in my life for which I’m grateful.
Family, friends, a flexible fun job, plentiful food, a warm roof, and really great people in my life.
This is a small subset of the things that made me smile in 2024. This includes the big eclipse and getting solar panels!
Let’s Go!
- Lots of 80s & 90s including 90s Con plus LOTS of tie dye.
- Taking care of myself with a colonoscopy and mammogram, getting rid of my unwanted perimenopause chin hair at SoMich Skin Spa in Syosset, and being an advocate for women’s health.
- Visiting Iceland after wanting to go there for 17 years. I finally got to see the rainbow street, The Lava Show, Elding Whale Watching, Flyover Iceland, The Lava Tunnel, Laugarvatn Fontana, Blue View Cabins, Friðheimar Tomato Greenhouse, waterfalls galore, and tried the lamb soup at Gullfoss.
- Hearing Holocaust survivors like @samisteigmannspeaks speak and fill in letters of a Torah while meeting the incredible Jonny Daniels. Also attending the first Shabbat On Broadway and watching high school basketball players from Israel play with @project24.israel and visiting the Museum at Eldridge Street.
- Learning & playing pickleball with my Pickleball Apes and GoSports paddles and canasta with my new set.
- Family poker, game and puzzle nights and searching for top finds in Homegoods.
- Eating some great meals at High Tide Taco Bar, Kunga Kitchen, and Patrizia’s of Hicksville.
But Also…
- Traveling to LA and seeing the pink Paul Smith wall.
- Falling in love with Arizona – especially Tucson via @tucsonfoodtours @desertmuseum and @bensbells then Sedona with her amazing energy, hikes – like Devil’s Bridge – and @cowboyclubsedona then on to Antelope Canyon with @dixieslact and then Horseshoe Bend, and the Grand Canyon.
- Then closing out the fall in Puerto Rico where I got a @coquieloriginalofficial ring and then went on a great cruise around the Caribbean.
- Plus really good times at: Disney On Ice, the New York Travel & Adventure Show, Tea Around Town, Ringling Brother’s Circus, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester, Adventureland, the IF premiere, Medieval Times, Hot Wheels Monster Truck, The Toy Insider Events, and LEGOLAND New York.
- Shows including: Aladdin, Water For Elephants, Merrily We Roll Along, Titanique, That Parenting Musical, & Juliet, and Our Town.
- Immersive experiences and exhibits at museums, Bruno Catalano Travelers, Fifth Avenue Blooms, The Friends Experience, The Dublin Portal, the Museum of Broadway, Beat The Bomb Brooklyn, The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, and The Great Elephant Migration.
- Guest appearances and interviews with: Grit, Grace,& Glitz, Period Besties, Tena, The Political Personality, The PR Podcast, Afluencer, and The Social Media Association.
- Lots of fun events at: Meta, Perry, Good Housekeeping, Nintendo, Nex Playground, and
celebrating the holidays in NYC.
As always the ocean wins. There was news that whales were off the coast of Jones Beach so I scouted. But alas, just the waves.
…And there’s no complaining about the waves from me.
